| 09.03.10 I've finally succumbed to the pressure! This site will be back in action by the end of March with regular updates... I tried to slip quietly off the radar but there is still a lot of interest in the revival of wicklowgaaphotos.com... I checked the stats tonight and there are still 4,300 page loads per week even though there have been no regular updates on the site for months... The final straw was being asked when the site would be back in action for what seemed like the thousandth time at a petrol station on Monday night... This site was originally set up to provide a little bit of colour for Wicklow GAA fans in 2006... There were no other options as the official site was down at the time... I kept it going until the end of 2008 and then went into hibernation when working on the '125 And Counting' book last year... Wicklow GAA fans were however spoiled for choice as the superb wicklowgaaonline.com filled the void... There's only one of me so I'll leave the running around to the wicklowgaaonline team and generally choose the events I am covering for the papers... It will continue to be a basic site so don't expect too much! Please e-mail me if you have any suggestions... One suggestion I received was to set up a Facebook page and inform 'fans' when photos were added so I'll see if I can master that technology... Thanks for all your support, Dave |
